Criminal Justice I & II

Criminal Justice I is designed for sophmores, juniors, and seniors who are considering a career in Criminal Justice.  Students will explore the various criminal justice occupations, job related duties in relation to the various Criminal Justice occupations, and how the various occupations are affect the criminal justice process.  Students will also gain a basic understanding of the function(s) and processes of the criminal justice system.  Course lectures will be enhanced by hands-on exercises, field trips, ad guest speakers from the criminal justice field.  Over the course of the school year, students are expected to obtain workplace readiness skills, developmental reading skills, writing skills, interpersonal communication skills, critical thinking skills, logical reasoning skills, problem solving skills, and leadership skills.  Students will also learn skills that are necessary to deal with high stress situations.  

 

Criminal Justice II is designed for juniors and seniors who are considering a career in Criminal Justice.  Students will gain more in-depth knowlege into Policing, Corrections, Crime Scene Investigation, and Terrorism.  Course lectures will be enhanced by hands-on exercises, field trips, ad guest speakers from the criminal justice field. Over the course of the school year, students are expected to obtain workplace readiness skills, developmental reading skills, writing skills, interpersonal communication skills, critical thinking skills, logical reasoning skills, problem solving skills, and leadership skills. Students will also learn skills that are necessary to deal with high stress situations.
